New car is already emerging from Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. Stuttgart based company has developed new top-of-the-line sports car for the buyers who want only the best possible in terms of power, handling, dynamics and luxury in perfect combination. All these characteristics are packaged in on sexy car called Porsche 911 Turbo S.

The powerplant propelling this beauty is a six-cylinder boxer enhanced with two exhaust gas turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, with an increase in power over standard 911 Turbo by 30 to 530 bhp (390 KW). Maximum torque is an astonishing 700 Newton-metres (516 lb-ft). All optional components from the regular 911 Turbo now come as a standard in this model.

You would expect that Porsche 911 Turbo S is very thirsty, but you are wrong. It averages just 11.5 litres/100 kilometres(equal to 24.8 mpg imp), the same as the regular 911 Turbo, leaving you with a smile on a gas station thanks to its efficiency for this kind of superpowered sports car.

The 911 Turbo S comes exclusively with seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) (Porsche’s Double-Clutch Gearbox) conveying drive power to Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive. All the latest safety functions are present and assurring the driver that the ride will be as smooth as possible.

In conjunction with Launch Control on the Sport Chrono Package Turbo this baby accelerates to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and to 200 km/h it needs 5.8 more, totalling 10.8 seconds. You’ll feel like you are enjoying in the cockpit of an F-15.

Top speed is 315 km/h or 195 mph and the stopping power is equally impressive, enough to stop it to standstill in just over 34 meters.
The sale is expected to begin in May 2010. German prices are around 173 000 Euros including VAT for the 911 Turbo S Coupe and 184 00 Euros for the Cabriolet version.

Toyota Prius is one brilliant piece of engineering. Maybe that’s why German journalists couldn’t wait to get their hands of the new model of Toyota Prius, fresh from the production line. World famous German magazine AutoBild has done the test and they compared several important aspects such as interior space, quality and reliability of hybrid technology and lower fuel consumption. Also after just a few months availability on a Japanese market, it has become a bestseller. It seems that the Japanese people are very environment aware and technology leaders in all aspects.

Fiat’s Panda Reaches New Milestone 1,500,000th Example Is Being Made

Fiat’s legendary model, Panda, capable of so much more than many bigger and more expensive competitors, so called SUVs, has reached one important moment in the history… Fiat is celebrating 1,500,000th Fiat Panda example that rolled off the production line at Fiat Poland facility in Tuchy. The car in question is left hand drive and is 1.3 MultiJet in magnetic blue coat and it is getting ready to be welcomed by an lucky Italian customer.

Since the start in 2003 the sales numbers has been growing month to month and they haven’t been affected by the current economical crisis. In the current 2009 production year, a record 285,000 will be produced. It has a good sales history in all Euro markets and in addition it has won numerous awards, including the one for the Car of the Year Title in 2004. Fiat Panda remained best selling model in segment A in Europe right from the start.

New 2009 Peugeot 3008 Review

Here we have the new 2009 Peugeot 3008. The new member in the Peugeot family seduces on a first sight, and it clearly increases the impression on a second and with a reason, this model has hardly any faults and bad details and the competition is very worried.

Double “0” denotes a completely new and original new class. Peugeot 3008 adds to the completeness of the current Peugeot line. Visually very attractive and sexy, it makes an impression at first glimpse. In the end it is not important the class the vehicle belongs to, it is the usability and the big picture that matters

The first view of the interior of the car brings the first surprise; this kind of configuration would easily pass the test of premium class, and even beat some of the premium cars currently on the market. But in the class it competes, it would bring an earthquake. Massive, lifted central console leaves a good taste in our mouth, quality of materials are impressive. The car appears as it is carved from a rock and as it is made from one peace. Stylish colors and techno-style are everywhere; it can be closely compared with Audi, the premium class-leader for interior quality. A lots of buttons and devices are easily accessible and user friendly.

Instrumental board gets new graphics and whole this part of the interior gets the highest grades. Several important buttons in one row to the right of the steering wheel seems like they are copied from the competition models, but it suits the Peugeot 3008 in a very good way. The seating level is a little raised from the Peugeot limousines. Peugeot 3008 has an empty weight of about 1.5 tons and 1.6-liters petrol engine which we had in a test vehicle doesn’t sound like an impressive or even good performance. The silence and refined engine completes the picture, but the power and torque impressed and surprised us. 150 hp combined together with very good manual gear-box in the first gear pushed us backwards in the seat, but the acceleration in the following gears was equally strong and constant. Maximum torque is 240 Nm, which is very good number for and atmospheric petrol engine and it is available at low 1400/min. The whole package measured in numbers is: 0-100 km/h in 8.9s, and the max speed is 201 km/h.

City consumption is a little above 11 liters/100km, but highway and freeway mode is two liters lower. Combined consumption will be around 10 liters for 100km, which is a good number for this kind a car and performance. We have checked the stability on a high speeds on a highway and it is almost a limousine-like..

A list of additional equipment just goes on…Big panoramic roof, folding mirrors, leather seats with 8-way adjusting, xenon headlights with auto-cleaning, 18’’ Aluminum wheels, special hi-fi sound system, AFS…

Peugeot 3008 gives us this message: maybe I’m not the best, the smartest, nor the fastest and prettiest, but I’m damn good in all of these categories.

The engines which were marketed will be the 1.5 dCi 85 HP, 90 HP, 105 HP, 110 HP, 150HP and 160 HP, and in the case of gasoline will have the 100 HP 1.6-liters, the 140 HP 2.0-liter, the 130 HP 1.4TCe and the 180 HP 2.0-liter TCE.

New Porsche Panamera Review

Porsche slowly teases the public in the last year releasing half-disguised photos of the new Porsche Panamera tested in various climate and road conditions. The official premiere was at the 13^th Auto Shangai. Some more details are known today.

Panamera is by all means a luxury car, no matter which model and package chosen. The starting prices in the US, as the main market at which this model is destined, will be around $90k and actually sounds better than before a few months when there was a rumor of a much higher prices.

Exterior styling is loved by some, some others are intrigued by the cars’ curves and shapes, but on a first glimpse, it is a typical Porsche. The interior is gorgeous, with a lots of high-tech gadgets and devices, expensive leather and comfortable seats that can be moved and configured in all directions. It is especially wide sedan, even wider than a huge Mercedes S-Class. The interior space is more than enough for a luxury travel of four passengers, only because there is a wide middle tunnel that is not allowing for the fifth person to enjoy the ride.

As a starting point of motorization, 3.6-liter, six-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower will be available. The middle option “S” will be 400 hp 4.8-liter V8 and the turbo model will offer around 500 horses. The prices in the US will be as follows: The Panamera S starts with $89, 000, while 4-wheel version 4S will be a few thousand more. The Turbo will cost as much as $132,000.

Talking about the performance Panamera S goes from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds with a maximum velocity of over 175 mph (280 km/h). The all-wheel Panamera 4S does the same in 4.8 seconds with the same maximum speed, while the king of the hill Panamera Turbo excels with just 4 seconds needed to 100 km/h and a 188 mph (303 km/h). All models are equipped with new Porsche’s PDK dual-clutch gearbox, enabling you to use full automatic and a possibility to switch the gears by using the pedals behind the steering wheel.
