The hot hatch is an iconic paradigm of motoring history, combining looks practically and speed in one affordable package, pocket rockets have been hugely popular since the introduction of the Renault 5 turbo and VW Golf GTi in the earlt 1980’s. This genre of vehicle is still going strong today with new innovations from manufactures that are being lapped up by petrol heads. Of course today’s hot hatches are a far cry from the veritable go-karts of yester-year, safety requirements have changed the shape and increased the weight of the models, but they still retain that feisty, off-the-chain hot hatch demeanor loved by so many.

There are plenty of variables that dictate a car’s reliability. While many claim the Ford Model T was the most reliable car ever made, its laundry list of problems would never make it through the first stage of safety checks today. These days we generally deem a car unreliable if the clock light goes out every once in awhile, or if the power locks, windows, or seats do not work to our liking. Whether accurate or somewhat funny, here are some of the most notably unreliable cars of all time.
Zastava Yugo
Oh the Yugo! Many would swear by this 1,800-pound car because of its decent gas mileage, small size, and cheap price. IT was marketed as an alternative to purchasing a used vehicle, and was sold for a mere $3,990 new. Well, you get what you pay for, and this little baby earned a terrible reputation when it was blown off of Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge in 1989, killing a 31-year old woman. Apparently it was extremely windy that day, and the woman panicked, and stopped her car on the bridge; this lack of downward force supplied by forward motion was all the airstream needed to toss that Yugo over the edge.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As great art goes, it’s always intriguing to see what that beauty can be worth. While one Picasso may be bought for $30,000, another is sold at a record breaking $106 million. Classic cars are no different. To automotive connoisseurs, a vintage car is a beautiful work of art, splendid in its form, performance, and aesthetic appeal. They are just as precious as a painting or sculpture, and now demand as much money in the car collecting market. This past Saturday, as with the Picasso before it, the 1930s Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic set a record to become the world’s most expensive car at $30 million.
Renault is famous for its innovation and to confirm this status it has taken another step forward to become a first European car manufacturer which introduced front swivel seat. With presenting it in new 2010 Renault Clio, Renault is adding one ace up the sleeve in new Clio, making sure that getting in and exiting a car a lot easier especially for older and overweight people. We think it will be useful for everyone. Swivel seat is marking 20 years anniversary since the beginning of Clio era.
It is enough to pull a simple lever and the seat can be turned left or right and without additional effort a person is able to rotate the seat and place it in desired position. The rotation angle can be adjusted up to 75 degrees and it is designed for passengers of up to 130kg of weight. We can see this becoming a trend in many new cars, as this is so simple and useful; it is a real miracle it hasn’t been used widespread in the car industry till now…
