Every new vehicle comes with a protection plan called a warranty. This protection plan usually covers the vehicle for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Many drivers prefer buying a new vehicle as oppose to a used one because it is fully protected for at least next two years. Worry-free driving is what we all are looking for!
What many drivers don’t know is that they can get the same type of protection for a used vehicle. The coverage on a used car is called a vehicle service contract, commonly referred to as an extended car warranty. It protects your automobile just like a factory warranty would and usually comes with additional benefits such as 24-hour roadside assistance, car rental and 30-day money back guarantee.
When choosing a vehicle service contract provider a lot of different factors have to be taken into consideration. Many drivers are not aware of common scams and can purchase coverage for a high price from an unreliable company. Obviously, not everyone has the time to surf the web to find customer reviews and research each company thoroughly.
Recently, Top Ten Reviews published a new review of top 10 extended auto warranty companies. The list includes only the best companies in the industry with Endurance at the top. Top Ten Reviews has been reviewing products and services for many years and are known as a reputable, trustworthy and unbiased website. Therefore, if you are looking for reviews on any service or product visit them first, my personal recommendation. Going back to extended auto warranties, there are three most reliable and trustworthy companies in the United States: Endurance, Carchex and Warranty Direct. Endurance has been named as the best by many different websites, such as TheTopTens.com (based only on consumer reviews), AutoWarrantyResources.com, and others.
After doing some extensive research, we can officially announce Endurance as the best vehicle service contract provider in the nation. Of course, this is our own opinion but if you do research yourself you will most likely come to the same conclusion. Carchex and Warranty Direct are just a few steps behind and it looks like Easy Care is going to break the top three soon, however, so far not many reviews about them can be found.
Here are some of the factors to consider when choosing an extended warranty company:
1. Years in business and online reputation (BBB rating and customer reviews);
2. Types of coverage – make sure that your vehicle is fully protected from unexpected breakdowns;
3. Review the contract – search for exclusions;
4. No financing fees – you should not have to pay any interest or financing fees;
5. Vehicle can be repaired at any certified auto repair shop or dealership.
