A recent report claims that Cadillac is preparing to launch eight new or redesigned models by the end of 2017 and half of them are crossovers or SUVs.
There aren’t many details but the basic in formation is about the times of launching of the different models which are:The first is the CTS which is scheduled for October and then the ELR in January.Next spring is reserved for the redesigned Escalade as a time when it shows up for sale and it will be followed by an ATS Coupe at the beginning of 2015. And the last from this group will be the LTS which goes on sale later that year.
As for the SUVs and crossovers, the redesigned SRX is scheduled in early 2016 and according to the reports it will be followed by two more crossovers in 2017 – one smaller and the other larger than the SRX. Cadillac is relying on these models to increase company’s sales especially in the USA and China.
Some of you maybe remember that Cadillac gave a hint at the possibility for a production of a compact car with the introduction of Urban Luxury concept at the 2010 Los Angeles Show but these plans have been delayed for now. Instead of that the company is obviously concentrating to expansion of its utility segment in order to take on its German rivals (BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi).
