Do you remember the Volkswagen Kombi from 1950? It originally was named Volkswagen Type 2 and it has been produced since 1950 until now. Unfortunately, due to the new safety legislation that will start working in 2014 this vehicle will stop its production. This safety legislation asks for obligatory ABS system and driver and passenger airbags. If added to the Volkswagen Kombi it will completely chance its look and will become a new car. The only country that still produces the Volkswagen Kombi is Brazil.
But not for long because from 31 December 2013 the vehicle will stop its production. The average number of Kombis produced on daily basis is 251. All of them are intended for the South American market, especially Brazil.
