The Lotus based Venom GT has a successor – the Hennessey Performance Venom GT2. The technical details have not yet been released, but the ones already known to the public are the 1500 hp in comparison with the 1200 hp of the previous model; V8 7.0 l twin-turbo engine; 7-speed paddle shift transmission, a double-bubble roof and other improvements. It is expected to meet the markets in 2013, with a starting price of $1.25 million and the 7-speed paddle shift transmission will be optional, with $165,000. This new car will not replace the old Venom GT model, i.e. both cars will be sold regularly.
