We have all noticed that the amazing normally-aspirated 3.0-liter straight-six engine is slowly replaced by the new and technologically more advanced 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine.
The one of the first models form BMW that came to the USA with the force-fed power plant, with the code name N20 was the Z4 sDrive28i roadster. This is the car we put to the dyno test.
From Germany this, the N20 was rated at 240-horses at 5000 and 260 lb-ft of peak torque and all of that at 1,250 to 4,800rpm.

This car put on the dyno rollers with its four-cylinder engine put out an amazing 233-horse at 5,350rpm and 249 lb-ft at 4,450rpm. This is centrally a not bed result considering the output measurement on the rear wheels.
