The record-setting sales of 2010 were increased by 150 percent, as Cadillac SRX retail sales rose 17.7 percent only in the first half of 2011.
The engine featured in the 2012 Cadillac SRX is based on the previous 3.6L “LFX” engine, but with few modifications. I.e. the new engine has 16-percent more horsepower (308 hp/ 230 kW) than the previous V-6 and it provides greater low-rpm torque. Thus dramatically improving vehicle responsiveness in all operating conditions – a standstill launch, passing maneuvers, around town maneuvering in traffic and full-throttle acceleration. The transmission is matched with the Hydra-Matic 6T70 six gears automatic transmission, featured with a driver selectable Eco feature that alters the shift positions and throttle progression, helping to optimize fuel economy.
