June 13, 2010 – 9:38 amDesigned to overleap the highest point of expectation, the new Citroën C4 burst with of style, quality, comfort and interior space, makes The Leap a mission possible. The handling and environmental credentials make the Aura around it with a continuous source of positive energy.
Citroën C4 keeps on driving the journey of style and innovation previously set by the new C5 in 2008 and C3 in the beginning of 2010. C4 presents the brand’s expertise in technology advancement.
Strength and stability define the car’s profile. Balanced proportions are emphasized through scalped lines finished in high quality. Aerodynamics cut airflow with its defined surfaces of the front end and rear spoiler. Style seems satisfied with the combination of detailed chrome and dynamic headlight, completed with sculpted allow wheels.
A Citroën C4 driver is a focused driver in a cabin that has an impressive acoustic comfort. Soundproofing delivers a relaxed on-road confidence, crucial for safety driving. The exterior dimension and interior compatibility mark a skillful ascent to the car. C4 with its 1.79m wide, 4.33m long and 1.49m high, is 2cm wider, 5cm longer and 3 cm taller from the current model. The 408-litre boot has practical square dimensions and lower sill for loading fuel easily.
What makes the C4’s individuality more noticeable is its ability to suit different individual characteristics. Comfortable seating and head room make spacing limits unnoticeable. Personal comfort extends further from spacing by making the user chose the color of the display, select different ‘polyphonic’ sound alerts, adjusting air-conditioning insensitivity and powerful audio system surround-sound. There are models that come with a massage function on the front seats.
Already using familiar technologies, like hill-start assist, EGS (Electronic Gearbox System), warning system when changing lanes, automatic electric parking brake and Xenon directional headlamps with dual-function, the Citroën C4 uses additional new technologies. These include a cornering light function, a new blind-spot monitoring system, an innovative new service called eTouch, speed-limiter with road speed memory settings and cruise control. Together with on-board emergency assistance, Citroën’s eTouch system gives the driver the opportunity to monitor their fuel consumption and driving patterns, also, advice on how to improve fuel usage.
Made to be a family car, the C4 uses latest technology to bring the environmental impact to a minimum. Micro-hybrid e-HDi powertrains will be installed in the new Citroën C4, with last generation of Stop & Start system. This delivers CO2 emission to 109g/km on launch – and future goal to reach 99g/km in the upcoming models. Low emissions and fuel economy is heightened with Michelin Energy™ Saver tyres. Environmental care goes further along the line with 15% “green’ materials, like re-cycled polyamide elements.
The Mulhouse PSA Peugeot Citroën plant in France will manufacture the The Citroën C4 and the Paris Motor Show in September 2010 is going to be the place for the premiere.
