Volvo is proud of its latest powerful truck Volvo FMX, aimed for the toughest jobs in quarries and mines. With its massive and super powerful engines, ranging from 11 to 13 liters, no situation can stop the latest heavy truck from Volvo called FMX.

Six-cylinder engine is economical, too, with as much as 60% of the torque available at low 800 rpm. You have all the power you need at your fingertips. You can choose from 330hp to 550hp and both turbocharged diesel engines are Euro 5 certified.

Rear-view mirrors are especially designed to cover larger area, and necessary angles are visible even in darkest spots. They are pretty solid and reinforced in case of an impact. Bumpers are also very robust, ready for rough treatment. Three-piece sturdy bumper has integrated towing beam, skid-plate and foot-step for easy entry. Volvo FMX can tow up to 25 tons of weight and break no sweat.

Latest technology is used on the headlights, too; separate high efficient and durable lenses for low and high beam, parking lights and turn indicators. They are all easy to replace and cheap to maintain, while enabling highest visibility in hard quarry conditions according to latest Volvo safety standards. Headlights can be further protected with a strong metal mesh. Fog lights are placed in the bumper on a perfect location.

I-shift is an automatic gearchanging technology commanding this truck. No effort on the driver’s side and the vehicle is always in the right gear enabling optimum torque and fuel efficiency. With this feature coming as standard, superb pulling and towing performance are assured and a generous comfort for the driver. Furthermore, transmission can be equipped with program packages and functions that assist in construction duties.

Volvo FMX is well-illuminated from all sides and is visible from every location on the construction yard, mine or quarry. In fact it looks like a Christmas tree from far away. Lights can be places on various random places on the exterior, depending on the task the truck has to perform.

Poor roads, high inclines and rough uneven terrain are no problem for the latest Volvo truck. It can tow huge weights even on bad slippery conditions. In fact it feels more at home as the situation gets worse.

Maybe because the Volvo FMX was developed from the input gathered directly from the field, listening the voices of ordinary workers earning their salary in tough conditions and risking their lives every day. Volvo provided them a chance to be more efficient and secure with its new FMX.
