Electric vehicles from Tesla and Toyota joint venture

Last week, Tesla Motors, Inc. (Tesla) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announced an intention to cooperate in the further development of electric vehicles, parts, and production system, but also in engineering support. Toyota Motor Corporation will purchase $50 million of Tesla’s common stock which will provide Toyota significant presence in the Tesla Motors.

Toyota and Tesla Motors have agreed to work together after the decision of famous American Company (Tesla Motors) which produces mainly electric cars dedicated itself to the Toyota manufacturing approach called Monozukuri. Toyota proved as a behemoth with slow moves in the speedy world environment and the Tesla acquiring will promote better and quicker business decisions.

Both companies are happy about this buy out. Toyota is going to get a greater beached on the American soil and Tesla will have access to the huge Toyota business finance and technological resources. In this moment Tesla Inc. is the only company which is producing serial highway capable electric cars. The Tesla roadster is an electric car with a sporty spirit with which many owners of the internal combustible engine sports cars are afraid to compare. Tesla inc. intentions are to continue with a production of the electric cars which by time will have increased autonomy and decreased price and cost of ownership.

The part of the agreement between Tesla inc. and Toyota Motor Corporation is to move the production of the new Tesla electric automobiles at the New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. (NUMMI) plant in Fremont, California which will provide jobs for 1000 out of 5000 workers which were previously working in the factory before it was closed on the April 1. Tesla has a plan to produce $50.000 Model S in NUMMI factory which can provide and create at least 2-3 times more jobs in the Tesla contractor’s plants.
