Hydrogen is somehow better than gasoline or diesel fuel, but in order to produce hydrogen there are also a need for energy. So in order to produce energy we need energy. My personal opinion is that the efforts toward cleaner transportation need to be focused on the second and even third generation of bio fuels, like bio diesel from jatropha, mustard, coconut, palm or other oil plants. Also algae are promising good results, but we are 3-4 years far from any commercial use of the algae bio fuel. There are also much advances in the ethanol production form all alternative sources like:  miscanthus, switch grass, straw and many other biomass products.</description>

		<description>The arguments in this article are misleading. Oil is highly subsidized and consumers are insulated from the true costs. All common transportation fuels are flammable.  Gasoline is flammable. However, it a lot more difficult to burn hydrogen than it is to burn natural gas and/or gasoline. The energy density of hydrogen is on the order of two to three times better than gasoline. This means that government is trying to improve fuel mileage to 35 miles per gallon. While, the hydrogen equivalent is a minimum of 68 miles per gallon today.</description>
